Developers can use VPNs to bypass blocks. Or they simply use their personal phones to access tools. Absolute technical blocking is merely an administrative illusion. Policy enforcement is always inconsistent.
More importantly, blocking doesn’t address the root cause. Technology evolves faster than companies can block it. Employees use these tools because they genuinely help. Removing the tool without providing an alternative won’t stop the behavior. It will only drive it deeper underground.

To reduce unauthorized use, we must build a supportive environment. Safe usage should be easier than risky usage.
